GET INVOLVED AT THE BGCNC.....
VOLUNTEER!!

But How?

  • Call us! Talk to Eric at 838-5954 about your interest in volunteering at the BGCNC. He can give you more information and set up a time to meet with you!

  • Download the application! Click here to download and print out the volunteer application to get the process started!

  • Stop by! Come to the Club and see it for yourself! Find out if it's something you really want to be involved in, and we'll get you started!

OK, I'm in! Now what?
Great! We commend you for choosing to be a part of something that will change your life and make a difference for each kid you come in contact with. Here are some of the things volunteers have the opportunity to do at the BGCNC:
  • Help the staff members run activities. You'll never have to be in charge of a program by yourself, but we often assign volunteers to be assistants for the staff. Do you like sports? Help out with the athletic activities and model good sportsmanship and teamwork for kids. Are you creative? Help with arts and crafts, music, or drama, and teach the skills that you have learned to someone else!

  • Assist Club members with homework. Every day, we have 45 minutes of "Power Hour", which is a quiet time for homework and study. All volunteers are assigned to help either middle school or elementary students with their work. This is a great opportunity to get some one-on-one time with a kid and help them be successful!

  • Be a positive role model. The most important part of being a volunteer is to make sure you spend as much time as possible with the kids. Yes, that's right, we want you to PLAY! Spending that time with kids, doing what they are doing, gives you the opportunity to get to know them better and to teach them how to interact with each other in a positive way.
